3 february 2007 ~ Logistics

So it seems our forum should work very well---we have been posting tons of ideas and directions this thing could take.

I guess our first decisions need to be format and similar logistics. I can't imagine it will be easy creating a short film while we aren't within 2000 miles of each other! FPS---24? 30? 25? We have decided to go with 24 Progressive. Progressive for obvious tracking reasons. 24 cause we can convert any EU footage from 25 to 24 without much struggle. We all really hate the home video look, so 30 is out...not to mention we will attempt to frame rate adjustments in post to get a more "film" look...anyone have any tips??

We will use our FTP for transfer, better buy more room! We will also attempt a 2.35 ratio which from NTSC leaves us at 720x381 more or less.

Plates...that is a big deal...since we are all working with HD plates at work, we cannot imagine using 720x480 or similar...so we have to think of some options.
